MAGNIFICENT BURDEN

Former NY socialite Taylor Stein becomes entangled in an international baby trafficking ring and goes undercover for the FBI to save a little boy. When a terrible discovery threatens his life she's thrust into the world of genetic technology and a high-stakes battle between Big Pharma and saving lives.

"Magnificent Burden" is Rob Nelson’s directorial debut. He first became nationally known as a founder of Lead or Leave, a political action group for young Americans. Nelson then hosted tv shows including "The Full Nelson" (Fox News), "The Rob Nelson Show" (Fox), and ABC’s "The Scholar." Nelson has authored two books, published by Penguin and Random House.

Taylor Stein began her foray into society as coat-check girl at the legendary Russian Tea Room, and subsequently wore many hats: finance, restaurateur, even sideline reporter for the NY Yankees. Since adopting her son Ren, she has dedicated herself to raising awareness for Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) and Compassionate Use for drugs in clinical trial. MAGNIFICENT BURDEN is her first documentary.

Karin Hayes is an award-winning documentary producer/director/writer of “We’re Not Broke” (Sundance Film Festival), “The Kidnapping of Ingrid Betancourt” (HBO/CNN), “Held Hostage in Colombia” (History/CBS/SundanceTV), “Pip & Zastrow: An American Friendship” (PBS/MPT). She shot for the Emmy-winning PBS POV documentary “When I Walk,” among others, and is a member of the Producer’s Guild of America.

Marinovich attended Hampshire College (B.A.), and UCLA School of Theater, Film & Television (M.F.A., Directing). His awards include: Hollywood Foreign Press Association Award, and National Assoc. of Theater Owners CA/NV Fellowship. His films include "Slava" (short, Red Hook International Film Fest.), and the feature doc. he edited "Transvisible: Bamby Salcedo’s Story" (2012 OutFest Film Festival Los Angeles).

Sean Murray

Sean Murray debuted as a composer for the action film "Scorpion." His scores have hit on musical genres from gothic horror in "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" to hip-hop action in "True Crime, Streets of L.A." (video game by Activision). He has scored the games "Call of Duty: World at War," "Call of Duty: Black Ops;" the tv series "God, The Devil and Bob" (Carsey-Werner/NBC); and the psychological-thriller "Junkyard Dog."
